Gunda and Spryk Release “Besharam Behaya”

Besharam Behaya, the first joint release between Gunda and Spryk, arrives on 26 August 2026 through Azadi Records and skip-a-beat. It is an indie pop track that fuses the orchestral warmth of golden-age Bollywood with Spryk’s electronic architecture, building a sound that feels simultaneously nostalgic and viscerally contemporary.

Written by Tanmay Saxena and produced by Spryk, the track finds Gunda in familiar yet newly treacherous territory: the lover scorned. Where his earlier single Danga sat in quiet domestic chaos, Besharam Behaya has Gunda stepping into the spotlight, theatrical flair and all.

A Classic Aashiq, Undone

The lyrics channel a classic aashiq undone, part shayari, part confession. The accompanying music video, a tribute to Mera Naam Joker, stages Gunda as a mime in an empty theatre, performing solely for Spryk. It carries the film’s essential tragedy: the performer who loves most deeply from behind the mask.

Gunda and Spryk’s first joint release under Azadi Records and skip-a-beat feels like a natural collision, two artists known for reworking familiar Indian musical traditions into something sardonic, careless and unmistakably their own.

Gunda

An artist with multiple phases and faces, Tanmay Saxena has built a body of work that stands apart from the trends of the industry. Under the mask of “Gunda,” Saxena creates a new aural experience that moves between sardonic and careless abandon, an unusual mix of songwriting drawing on qawali, shayari and house music.

Spryk

Spryk is the electronic music and art exploration of Mumbai-based Tejas Nair, recognised as one of India’s leading electronic musicians and media artists. Known for immersive audiovisual performances and work spanning digital art, technology and culture, Spryk pushes the boundaries of sonic and visual storytelling.
